Office space,

I’m locked into some sort of battle with my desk at the moment. I’ve recently reorganized things so that I’m on the other side of the desk with a huge expanse of veneer to my right, which is fantastic for moving away from the computer and actually thinking, problem is, it fills up with stuff so quickly.

So because this week has been so bitty in terms of work (and because, I’ve got the tidy bug), I’ve spent a ’small’ amount of time this morning, clearing my desk. I’m attempting a new strategy for things that clutter my desk, I’ve got a “To Do” Tray, a “To Read” Tray, and a “I’ve read it but I can’t throw it away yet because we will need it soon” Tray, which for convenience I’ve called “Current Project Docs”. Hopefully this will keep it all under control.

The biggest problem is the “Current Project Docs”, working out what exactly defines a project that is or is just about to happen as current is a bit of grey area. At the last count there about 10 projects that are just about to happen, so I might end up with lots and lots of stuff in one tray and nothing in the other two.
